Bol

By connecting your bol account with Returnless, you will be able to process bol returns through Returnless, or have your consumers create returns in Returnless using your return form.

You can work in two ways:

  • Search order — connect your Returnless return form to bol, and make it possible for your customers to find their bol order in the return form.
  • Return importer — use bol's own return panel instead. After returns are created in bol, they will be imported into Returnless, so you can find all your returns in one place.

Orders older than 90 days are not available, because bol only provides access to the most recent 90 days of order data.

Advantages of using the bol integration

Returnless will be able to import your bol returns or have your customers announce their returns via your return form. This allows you to process all returns (including returns from other channels) in a single return-dedicated solution. This offers several advantages:

How to install

The connection is set up by creating an API key in your bol seller account.

Creating a bol API key

Returnless connects to bol using the Retailer API. When generating your credentials in bol, make sure to create a Retailer API key — an Advertiser API key will not work with the integration.

To generate a new Retailer API key, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Bol seller panel.
  2. Navigate to the API settings (Instellingen > Diensten > API Instellingen).
  3. Under Client credentials voor de Retailer API, click the Aanmaken button and enter any name for the integration (for example "Returnless"). The credentials will be generated.

bol offers multiple API key types (Retailer API and Advertiser API). Only a Retailer API key works with the Returnless integration. See bol's documentation on creating Retailer API credentials for more detail.

Adding an integration

To create a new integration between Returnless and bol, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Return panel
  2. Navigate to the Settings > Integrations page where you will find the E-commerce platform section.
  3. To add a new integration, select the Add new integration button.
  4. Select the bol integration. A modal will open and ask you for the Client ID and Client Secret, which you created in the previous step.

Activating search order feature

To activate the functionality to search for a bol order, you will need to enable the integration in a return form. Follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Return panel
  2. Navigate to Settings > Return forms and open the settings of the applicable return form.
  3. Go to the Integrations tab and set the Default search integration to your bol integration. Doing this will automatically enable the Can search order trait in the integration trait overview for the integration.

Activating finalize return feature

To start marking returns in bol as received, the finalize return trait needs to be enabled. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Return panel
  2. Navigate to Settings > Return forms and open the settings of the applicable return form.
  3. Go to the Integrations tab.
  4. Scroll down to the bol integration and enable the option Can finalize return.

Settings

  1. Login to your Return panel
  2. Navigate to the Settings > Integrations page where you will find the E-commerce platform section.
  3. Click the Settings button at the appropriate bol integration. Here you will find the settings for the integration.

Activating importer feature

The importer functionality will run once every hour at 5 minutes to the full hour (8:55, 9:55, ...)

To start importing returns from bol to Returnless, follow these steps:

Setting Description
Enable importer Enable this toggle to start importing returns. Returnless will only import new returns that have been created after the importer was enabled. So existing returns in your bol account are not imported.
Import to form

Returns need to be attached to a return form in Returnless. Some settings (like email notifications and automations) can be configured in the form. By default, a virtual form is used to attach the imported returns.

A virtual form is only used internally and is not visible to your customers. If you want to attach the returns to one of your existing forms, you can choose the applicable form.

Import fulfillment type

Decide which type of returns you want to import:

- All: fulfilment by both bol and Retailer.

- bol: fulfilment by bol only.

- Retailer: fulfilment by Retailer only (default).

Filter on handle status Decide if you want to import returns that are handled and/or not handled yet.
