International shipping settings

When you receive returns from outside the EU, additional customs documents are required. Returnless can automatically generate these documents, but we need some information to do so. In these settings, you can provide this information to ensure customs forms are correctly filled out.


How to use this feature?

  1. Fill in the following details:
    • VAT and/or EORI number – The number required for international shipments.
    • Default HS code – Used when no specific HS code is available for a product.
    • Default country of origin – Used when no specific country information is available for a product.
  2. Save your settings
    • Click Save to confirm the details.

Frequently asked questions

  • Requirements for international shipping:
    • You need your own carrier contract, as Returnless does not offer pre-negotiated rates for non-EU shipments. This can be arranged with carriers such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS.
    • Customs documents are required. Returnless automatically generates these for the customer.
  • HS codes are essential:
    • You can set an HS code per product via your webshop.
    • If no HS code is available, the default value from the shipping settings will be used.

This ensures that international returns are processed smoothly and correctly.
